Postoperative Bra for Breast-Conserving Surgeries
- DESIGN: Post-surgical bra with a vest-style design, featuring a full front zip fastening for easy dressing, and a high back for excellent support. It includes a wide under-bust band for better stability.
- COMPOSITION: Made of 55% polyamide, 33% cotton, 9% elastane and 3% polyester, materials that offer greater softness and enhanced breathability. Helps improve back posture.
- INTEGRATED CUPS: This bra features double cups to support the breast with appropriate compression for fluid reabsorption. The 4-way stretch fabric provides optimal compression during recovery.
- SEAMLESS: Seamless bra ideal for use after any breast surgery; it prevents irritation and skin damage while providing greater comfort for a successful recovery.
- BREAST POST-OP: Offers full coverage of the surgical area and adequate compression for improved wound healing, enabling a faster recovery. Provides optimal support to the treated breast and helps relieve pain.
Breast Cancer or Tumour Support Bra – Compression Zones:
- RED ZONE: In the centre it provides adequate breast separation to optimise wound treatment; the edges offer superior support and stability to prevent unwanted breast movement for optimal healing.
- GREEN ZONE: Located on the sides, provides additional support to wounds under the armpit, allowing freedom of movement and promoting better nerve and blood flow for optimal recovery.
- BLUE ZONE: Offers support and shape to the breasts, creating a comfortable transition from the red zones so the breasts do not rest on this area.
- WHITE ZONE: Located on the cups, provides light support and gentle compression to the treated breast. Its flexibility ensures full coverage of the surgical area.
- BACK: The orange zone allows shoulder blade mobility, while the green zone provides additional back support to improve posture and reduce post-operative pain in the neck, shoulders and back.
How Long Should I Wear a Postoperative Bra?
This will depend on the healthcare professional and the extent of the surgery. Typically, the period ranges from 2 to 12 weeks, day and night during the first weeks, and later only during the day.
For breast cancer surgeries, it is usually needed for 6 to 8 weeks.
How to Measure Your Post-Surgical Breast Bra Size?
To calculate your ideal size, follow these steps:
- Measure around your body just below your breasts to obtain your under-bust measurement.
- Measure the fullest part of your breasts at nipple height to obtain your bust measurement.
- Then subtract the under-bust measurement from the bust measurement to determine your cup size.
Example:
Under-bust: 98 cm
Bust: 80 cm.
98 – 80 = 18 cm, resulting in a C cup.
- Then use the table to choose your size according to your under-bust and cup measurements.
We offer 5 sizes from S to 2XL. Due to possible swelling after surgery, you may need 1 to 2 extra cup sizes compared to your usual size. Your choice will depend on whether you prefer more or less compression.
