Origins and Growth
OrtoPrime was founded in 2018 in the rural town of Moraleja, Cáceres, by two young entrepreneurs with a vision to improve quality of life through innovative orthopaedic products and technical aids. In 2019, the company was formally incorporated and launched its first website in Spain, marking the beginning of a journey of growth and expansion.
International Expansion
In 2020, OrtoPrime took its first international step into the Portuguese market, establishing its presence and building a strong reputation. Following its success in Portugal, the company continued its expansion and in 2023 entered other key European markets such as Germany, Italy, France and the Netherlands, from where we also serve neighbouring European countries, bringing our products to an even wider and more diverse audience.
Innovation and Quality
Since its inception, OrtoPrime has focused its efforts on offering products of the highest quality. Among the most highly valued products are pressure relief materials and bathroom and home adaptations, designed to provide comfort and improve users’ daily lives. The company also sells through marketplaces across Europe, strengthening its presence with its own brand as a synonym for trust and excellence. In addition, we hold certification issued by the Spanish Agency for Medicines and Medical Devices under licence number 8659-PS.
Diversification with Vidaprime
In addition to its orthopaedic products, OrtoPrime has launched Vidaprime, a brand dedicated to daily living aids. This diversification reflects the company’s commitment to addressing different aspects of customers’ needs, offering comprehensive solutions adapted to various situations and stages of life.
Rural Commitment and Values
Despite its growth and international success, OrtoPrime has remained firmly rooted in Moraleja, Cáceres, a small town of around 6,800 inhabitants. From here, we have shown that it is possible to create and consolidate a company at a European level, while also boosting the local economy and continuously generating new jobs. This commitment to our rural origins has been a fundamental pillar of the company’s philosophy.
Investment in Infrastructure
In 2022, OrtoPrime invested in a facility of nearly 3,000 square metres. This expansion has allowed us to significantly enhance our professionalism and operational capacity, optimising our processes and raising the quality of service offered to our customers.
Commitment to Sustainability
At OrtoPrime, we are committed to adopting sustainable and environmentally responsible practices. We work closely with sustainability and recycling companies such as LEKO, NOVENTIS and other leading organisations in the sector across Europe, using recyclable materials and sustainable packaging practices to reduce our carbon footprint.
Social Commitment
At OrtoPrime, we believe in corporate social responsibility. Since our early days, we have collaborated every year with various cancer support organisations, making significant donations that help fund research and support patients. Among the organisations we support are GEICAM, dedicated to breast cancer research, and AOEX, the Extremadura Oncology Association with 25 years of activity. This commitment is an extension of our mission to improve quality of life, not only for our customers but also for the wider community.
